Why Now?
The pandemic required the ATHENA leadership team to assess product offerings and their delivery. This ushered in ATHENA expansion, program repackaging, new product launches, and subsequently a massive scaling of marketing efforts. There was a necessity for ATHENA to more effectively communicate a LOT of new information to its current members and attract prospective members and corporate partners. When assessing the current ATHENA brand and messaging through this lens, we recognized a clear and obvious need for rebrand to establish credibility.
New Logo
The three elements of the "Sculpture” graphic in the ‘A’ icon represent ATHENA’s mission to ignite, amplify, and celebrate girls, women and allies. It is also a historical nod to ATHENA’S most prestigious award. Combining the sculpture graphic with a serif typeface to form a modern ‘A’ icon symbolizes ATHENA’s past, present and future audiences uniting. The visual strength and grace of this new ‘A’ icon captures the spirit of the Eight Principles of Enlightened Leadership (the ATHENA Leadership Model®). The serif/ sans serif typography combination is timeless, yet modern, and the color palette brings a new level of confidence and energy.
