Our bureau professionals offer topics that include women in leadership, women in business, the ATHENA Leadership Model and other key presentations.

Our speakers bureau is comprised of women leaders from around the world who are professional and motivational speakers and members of the ATHENA International Board of Directors. The honorarium will be paid to Athena International.

Dianne Dinkel is president of ATHENA International, Inc. She has over 25 years of progressive leadership experience in non-profit organizations in budgeting, financial management and strategic planning. In addition to serving ATHENA International as Fiscal Director, prior to taking her current position, her experience included VP of Business Affairs and CFO of the Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago, Sr. VP for Administration of Concordia University, and VP for Administration of Grand Canyon University. Patricia Pierce serves as a state Commissioner on the Tennessee Human Rights Commission. She recently retired after almost thirty years from VanderbiltUniversity where she managed a buget of approximately a million dollars and directed a staff of eleven. She was responsible for matters related to equity and diversity. She conducted training programs, served as a fact finder and mediator of disputes and conflicts, and served as a liaison for the University with outside organizations and agencies. More...

She has over 20 years of experience in marketing, operations and financial management. Her management experience includes positions as controller for a $200 million division of a public corporation and vice president and general manager for a $40 million manufacturing and wholesale company, Pepsi-Cola Bottlers of Akron, Inc. Ellen Ruddock is a retired entrepreneur with experience in education, sales andfundraising. Ilene is actively engaged with international companies seeking to establish a US presence in Ohio. After 15 years as a successful entrepreneur, Ms Shapiro served as Senior Vice President for Sales for FirstMerit, a 10B financial services organization and is currently an “intrapreneur” for the third largest health care system in the State of Ohio, Summa Health System. Yvonne Wood
is a founding member and past Chair of the Tennessee Economic Council on Women, and continues to serve on its Executive Committee. During her first career with the State of Tennessee, she was Director of the Federal-State Medicaid Program Integrity Unit, where she won two national awards for detecting Medicaid fraud and abuse. As Associate Director for Government Relations for the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, and Director of the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation, she contributed to and wrote several pieces of legislation acted into law, among which makes scholarships available to Tennessee’s most talented students, and a law mandating a two step pay increase to employees who successfully complete the CPS exam.
