ATHENA International Names Dianne Dinkel as President/CEO

CHICAGO, IL – December 22, 2008 - ATHENA International, an organization recognized worldwide as supporting, developing and honoring women in leadership, recently named Dianne Dinkel as President/CEO.


"We are delighted to have someone with Dianne's leadership abilities and level of experience," said Norma Rist, Chairman of the Board of Directors. "We're confident that with her leadership strengths and organizational talent that ATHENA International will be able to further its mission and vision. Her experience will be a real asset to our organization."

Dinkel has over 30 years of progressive leadership experience in non-profit organizations including the Erikson Institute, Concordia University, Grand Canyon University, and most recently, as Vice-President of Business Affairs and CFO at the Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago.  She has also served as Fiscal Director for ATHENA International for two years. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and an MBA from Arizona State University.

The organization will host the 2009 ATHENA International Leadership Summit on March 15-17, at the Renaissance Hotel in Chicago. The event is open to those interested in attending to hear outstanding women leaders, network with other women professionals and learn more about leadership strategies for women.
