Women's Leadership Day Programs in our monthly eNews. Please submit your ideas to Cori McWherter by the 10th of each month.

ATHENA AWARD PROGRAM
Milestone ATHENA Award Program event
ideas:
- Partner with major newspaper in
the community
- Hold a VIP cocktail reception
for nominees, nominators, sponsors, speaker and board of directors prior to the
event
- Recognize each nominee during
the event
- Run a PowerPoint of nominee
photos, past years' event photos, sponsor lists, etc.
- Present an ATHENA Scholarship to
a high school senior or college student during the event
- Host an ATHENA Orientation a
month prior to the event so that nominees may meet one another, meet the
committee, hear about the goings on for the evening and ask questions
- Champagne toast prior to meal
- Remarks from first ATHENA

- Extra décor
- Keynote speaker, such as Founder
of ATHENA International, Martha Mayhood Mertz
- Add the ATHENA Young
Professional Leadership Award and/or ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award
- Include a retrospect of the past
recipients in program, including recent head shots and their proudest moment
since receiving the ATHENA Award
