Doris K. Christopher is the founder and chairman of The Pampered Chef®, a Berkshire Hathaway company. Founded in 1980, The Pampered Chef is the premier direct seller of high-quality kitchen tools sold through in-home demonstrations called Cooking Shows.

As an active member of the Direct Selling Association (DSA) and Direct Selling Education Foundation (DSEF) since 1986, Doris assumed the position of Chair of the Board for the DSEF in 2007, having first served as Chair for the DSA in 1999 and for the DSEF in 2000.

Doris is the author of The Pampered Chef: The Story of One of America's Most Beloved Companies (Currency/Doubleday, 2005) and Come To The Table: A Celebration of Family Life (Warner Books 1999).

Martha Mertz
Martha Mayhood Mertz is the founder of ATHENA International, a non-profit women's leadership organization that supports, develops and honors women leaders, inspires women to reach their full potential, and creates balance in leadership worldwide. She is also a speaker, author, and successful real estate entrepreneur as president and owner of the Michigan-based firm Mayhood/Mertz Investment, Inc.

Martha was president of ATHENA International from its inception in 1982 to May 1999. She serves ATHENA now as a board member and an ambassador, traveling the globe to share its message: that women bring a distinctive, transforming approach to leadership — an approach that goes beyond gender to speak to all who would lead in the 21st century.
